[2] 2형식 문장 : 주어 + 불완전자동사 + 주격보어 (S + Vi + SC)

 

*be 동사류(---이다) : seem, look, sound, taste, smell, feel, remain, keep, stand

*become 동사류(---되다) : get, grow, go, come, turn, run, prove, fall, make

 

   He is an engineer

   He is gloomy

   The book is of no use to me

   The best thing is to send her some money

   My hobby is collecting stamps

   He became a teacher

   He became tired

   Her new dress becomes her well. (3형식)

 

   He has grown old and weak

   He got angry with me

 

   He turned pale

   The leaves of trees turned red and yellow

   He turned his back to me (3형식)

 

   It is getting dark

   Eggs soon go bad in hot weather

   He went mad

   Your dreams will come true some day

   The well has run dry

 

   She look happy. She looks happily (X)

   This paper feels smooth

   Sugar tastes sweet

   The story sounds strange

   The rose smells sweet

 

※ 유사보어 : 완전자동사 뒤에 오는 보어

   live/die/go/marry/stand + 명사(동격), 형용사(상태),

                            ---ing(능동), pp(수동)

 

   He died a beggar = He was a beggar when he died

   She married young = She was young when she married

   He sat reading the book

   He stood leaning against the gate

   He went home satisfied with the result

   The old man sat surrounded by the children
